APS (Accountability Profile for Schools) General Information

The APS solution starts with APS+ Data-Builder, which creates a data warehouse that combines data from a variety of sources that is critical for school improvement planning. The APS Client Software then interfaces directly with the data warehouse so users can instantly graph and disaggregate test scores based on student demographic data (i.e. �??Do It Yourself Data Analysis�?�).

• Create, define and add student test assessments, demographics and special programs to your data-warehouse

• Track longitudinal performance of students by 'class' or 'cohort' analysis, both forward and backward in time, using any base year

• Complete cohort analysis of student performance on different assessments, over time, to define local benchmarks that predict student success in meeting State Academic standards

• Compare two different groups of students on the same assessment

• Compare the same group of students on two different assessments (ex. second grade NWEA and third grade ISTEP+)

• Instantly view an individual student's cumulative test history

• Examine a student test history for strengths and weaknesses in skill areas on multiple assessments for determining individual education plans

Q. What other software is needed to run the RDS APS software?

A. Windows 2000 Server or Windows 2003 Server, including Internet Information Service (IIS) version 5.0, SQL Server 2000 or higher and a connection to the Internet with a Static IP address. Also Adobe(Macromedia) Flash Remoting

Q. How much training is required?

A. For the System Administrator four hours and the end users will also need a four hour training course.
